Radon Testing
Radon is a radioactive gas. You cannot see, feel, taste or smell the Radon Gas! It is responsible for 20,000 deaths per year, on average. It is also the second leading cause of Lung Cancer. It emanates from fractured bedrock and seeps into your home in a variety of ways: from the vulnerable corners, or cracks in your foundation, to running water. You cannot see the radon, but we have the tools to detect its presence. Here, in North Georgia, radon testing is not required. However, it is highly recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If the level of Radon Gas is equal to 4pCi/L or higher, the EPA recommends a Radon Gas Mitigation. Air Quality / Mold Testing
Mold. A taboo word unless you test it and know exactly what type it is, from a lab. We offer Mold/Air Quality Testing as an ancillary to Home Inspections or as a stand-alone service. Mold could exist from current or previous leaks, condensation and lack of airflow, and it thrives in moist environments. It can be found both indoors and outdoors, including your home, your attic, and your crawl-space. As Mold and Indoor Air Quality Certified Consultants we have what it takes to test your new or existing property and make sure you maintain a safe and healthy living environment for you and your beloved ones. If we see mold we can test by collecting samples with swabs. Even if we don’t see it, with Air Quality testing you will get all the details you needed to verify this is a safe living space.
