Termite Inspections and “Clearance Letter”
Owl’s Eye Home Inspections offers Termite Inspections and WDIOR (aka clearance letters) through our affiliation with ProCare Pest Control. Our lead Master Inspector is a Licensed Employee certified by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and our commitment as a whole is thoroughness and quality that ensures peace of mind for our clients. Termite inspections are vital for homeowners as these Wood-Destroying Insects-Organisms can cause significant structural damage if left unchecked. Moreover, many lenders require a termite clearance letter before approving a mortgage, making this service essential for those buying or selling a property. Our partnership with ProCare Pest Control ensures that our clients receive top-notch expertise and service and we safeguard their homes.
Radon Testing
Radon is a radioactive gas. You cannot see, feel, taste or smell the Radon Gas! It is responsible for 20,000 deaths per year, on average. It is also the second leading cause of Lung Cancer. It emanates from fractured bedrock and seeps into your home in a variety of ways: from the vulnerable corners, or cracks in your foundation, to running water. You cannot see the radon, but we have the tools to detect its presence. Here, in North Georgia, radon testing is not required. However, it is highly recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If the level of Radon Gas is equal to 4pCi/L or higher, the EPA recommends a Radon Gas Mitigation. Sewer Scope Inspection

A sewer scope inspection can detect hidden problems like blockages, tree root intrusion, water back-ups or deteriorating pipes early on which can help prevent costly repairs in the future. Level 2 Chimney Inspection
A Level 2 chimney inspection involves using specialized video camera, to thoroughly inspect the interior (Firebox, Smoke Chamber, Flue, etc.) and exterior of the chimney. A Level 2 inspection will help you to see with video and pictures and determine the defects and from there you can proceed with maintenance and repairs that are required for optimal safety and performance. Chimneys, vents and fireplaces are constantly attacked by weather in GA, going from heat to cold and from sun to rain in a blink of an eye. Building forces, such as settlements due to the age and/or bad workmanship can also have severe impact to your chimney. The list is keep going if you add lack of maintenance, Acids in the combustion products, etc. We believe you got the point… most likely you NEED a LEVEL 2 CHIMNEY INSPECTION!
Air Quality / Mold Testing
Mold. A taboo word unless you test it and know exactly what type it is, from a lab. We offer Mold/Air Quality Testing as an ancillary to Home Inspections or as a stand-alone service. Mold could exist from current or previous leaks, condensation and lack of airflow, and it thrives in moist environments. It can be found both indoors and outdoors, including your home, your attic, and your crawl-space. As Mold and Indoor Air Quality Certified Consultants we have what it takes to test your new or existing property and make sure you maintain a safe and healthy living environment for you and your beloved ones. If we see mold we can test by collecting samples with swabs. Even if we don’t see it, with Air Quality testing you will get all the details you needed to verify this is a safe living space.
