Yes. Absolutely.
Just because a home is new doesn’t mean it’s problem-free. I’ve found missing insulation, disconnected vents, reversed wiring, and even roof leaks — all in homes that were just built.
Builders are human. Their subcontractors are on tight deadlines. And while town inspections catch the basics, they are in a rush and they don’t look as deeply as we do.
A private home inspection gives you a detailed report on the home’s true condition, and it’s especially helpful before your builder’s warranty runs out — so they can fix things on their dime, not yours.
So if you’re buying a brand-new home… get it inspected. You’ll thank yourself later.
