Termite Inspections and “Clearance Letters”
Owl’s Eye Home Inspections offers Termite Inspections and WDIOR (aka clearance letters) through our affiliation with ProCare Pest Control. Our lead Master Inspector is a Licensed Employee certified by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and our commitment as a whole is thoroughness and quality that ensures peace of mind for our clients. Termite inspections are vital for homeowners as these Wood-Destroying Insects-Organisms can cause significant structural damage if left unchecked. Moreover, many lenders require a termite clearance letter before approving a mortgage, making this service essential for those buying or selling a property. Our partnership with ProCare Pest Control ensures that our clients receive top-notch expertise and service and we safeguard their homes.
Radon Testing
Radon is a radioactive gas. You cannot see, feel, taste or smell the Radon Gas! It is responsible for 20,000 deaths per year, on average. It is also the second leading cause of Lung Cancer. It emanates from fractured bedrock and seeps into your home in a variety of ways: from the vulnerable corners, or cracks in your foundation, to running water. You cannot see the radon, but we have the tools to detect its presence. Here, in North Georgia, radon testing is not required. However, it is highly recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If the level of Radon Gas is equal to 4pCi/L or higher, the EPA recommends a Radon Gas Mitigation. Learn more at EPA.gov.
Sewer Scope Inspection
Do you have trees in your yard? Is your Home over 10 years old? Do you worry if that old toilet fixture or the sink drains as intended? Be proactive and call us for a Sewer Scope Inspection…yesterday! A sewer scope inspection can detect hidden problems like blockages, tree root intrusion, water back-ups or deteriorating pipes early on which can help prevent costly repairs in the future. This proactive approach ensures a thorough assessment of the property’s sewer system, providing peace of mind and potentially saving you from unexpected and more extensive plumbing issues down-the-line. (Pun Intended)
Pool and Spa Inspection
Pools are exposed to constant moisture, chemicals, and wear, which can lead to performance and safety issues over time. Our inspection provides a visual evaluation of accessible pool and spa components, helping you make informed decisions with confidence. Clear information. No guesswork. Just peace of mind. Because a pool or spa can be a great feature, but only if it’s safe and functioning as intended. Hidden defects in pool equipment, electrical components, circulation systems, or safety features are common and often overlooked. We offer Pool and Spa Inspections as an add-on to a Home Inspection or as a stand-alone service to help uncover concerns before they become costly or dangerous.
Chimney Camera Inspection (Not Lvl 2)
Chimney Camera Inspection (Not Lvl 2)In many cases, the interior of the flue is not fully visible from the firebox, the attic or roof; places that we inspect following our Standards of Practice.
As an optional add-on service, we offer a chimney camera inspection to provide a visual look inside the flue using a specialized camera. This service can help identify visible concerns such as debris, buildup, damage, or obstructions that may not be seen during a standard inspection.
This is not a Level 2 chimney inspection. No cleaning certification, or repair is performed as part of this service.
